Still waiting on Manoi, although I got an e-mail saying that he did ship last weekend, so it shouldn't be much longer! I also managed to order a TEC-3 adapter and one of those logitech PS2 pads to use with it

I'm sure it would be of more than passing interest to many. Not to mention, informative. It would enable your fellow roboteers to vicariously experience putting together a PF01.

Just letting everyone know that Manoi did arrive! He's assembled and seems to work fine.

Amazingly, they sent me the whole assembly manual translated into English in pdf form! That was a big help although it's very easy to follow the Japanese one too.

It took about 10 hours to build him. It's definitely not easy on the fingers (ouch). No way you can use an electric screwdriver either as the plastic shell is VERY delicate. If you tighten the screw too much, then the plastic will buckle and begin to crack. Basically don't tighten all the way, just until you start to feel the resistance.

I'd imagine he's probably one of the more difficult robots to build.

pre-painted in black & yellow I believe the silver & white ones were the first 150 off the production line.

I just set up the TEC-3 adapter and it wroks perfectly with the logitech PS2 pad! Excellent

Have you seen the gold ones? Very snazzy little critters. Wish Kyosho would offer a choice of colors.
