I think most of the avid i-SOBOT robot enthusiasts who are a part of the RoboSavvy Forum also post in and read the Tomy Toy forum in the i-SOBOT section. On the topic of forums, check out the RoboDance forum which has a division for i-SOBOT as well. You can learn more about using the Wii, remote IR control by computer, the USBirt, program scripting, and the free RoboDance software.

http://www.roboburp.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=21

Out of all the forums, RoboSavvy currently has the most posts and the widest variation in topics, so you'll want to stay tuned here as well.

Can anyone add to the list of i-SOBOT forums???

I just can't quite understand how we have a dedicated i-SOBOT website/forum seup, and can't generate the interest... I like this forum as well as the Robodance forum a lot, but always wanted to be part of a stand alone site specializing on the i-SOBOT... I am hoping we can get it going... thanks for the info!!! BTW: I have added quite a bit of good info on the "other" site...:)

Hey isobot! I forgot to say, "Welcome to the RoboSavvy i-SOBOT Forum!"
:D

Do you own an i-SOBOT, and what projects have you been working on?

I think the reason may be that RoboSavvy brings in traffic from all the other humanoid robot divisions and the forum you refer to is dedicated, as you mentioned, to a single line.

If you take a look here, you'll see KHR-1, KHR-2HV & Kondo, Manoi & Kyosho, ROBONOVA-I & Hitec, Bioloid & Robotis, RB1000 & JR Propo, Futaba/HPI RBT-1/GRobot, RoboPhilo, Homebuilt, General, News, Simulation & Graphics, and of course our beloved i-SOBOT. This does not mention the unseen robots, humanoids, bipeds that have no topic category, such as Parallax Penguin Biped walking robot, and many others.

Well, you certainly have generated my interest and you'll see many of my posts about i-SOBOT there, and here as well. I'm sure the dedicated followers of i-SOBOT will continue to grow as the product proliferates. After all, this is one of the most powerful full scale humanoids ever created in a small package. Ironically, it's being sold as a toy to gain greater market reach and marketing infrastructure - but as we all can see, it's more of a big boys toy than not. hehe.. Also be careful for what you wish for, as you may be inundated with an overwhelming job of moderating a great number of enthusiasts. May I suggest you mirror the important posts that have not appeared in the Robosavvy forums and put a link under your name to the forum you are moderating.

that's so good to hear!!! yeah, I am currently working on setting up my i-SOBOT to Robodance 4, as well as have a WHITE version i-SOBOT in my sights... I have posted some really good info on our site, as well as being on there quite regulary in case any one has any questions or comments... I too was looking at the Khr-2hv, and the Robonova, but this was my first entry into robotics in general (I had a Lego Mindstorms NXT kit) and have been into R/C for 18+ years, but after all the reading online, I felt the i-SOBOT offered all the things I was looking for at this time... I know it doesn't offer all the features that a high end robot does, and the "toy" tag this robot comes with is getting a little irritating...but I truly believe if it takes off, we will be rewarded with a ton of upgrade options from other avid users like what we are seeing with Robodance 4!!! I am happy to be talking to another i-SOBOT fan, and I hope to meet many more... if I can be of any help or assistance feel free to contact me at any time...

Hey, isobot - have you thought about making a list of i-SOBOT owners? This could lead to great sources of information about this humanoid, not only in terms of postings, but web sites, blogger sites, and myriads of more information.
