I'm just starting work on a crude vision system for my RN......There are two reasons I have chosen to create a thread here instead of the RN section: 1. I will <span style="font-weight: bold">not</span> be using the RN micro-controller (I would like to use a parallax propeller) to do the image capture and processing. 2. I hope if it works, it will be relevant to any small robot.<br /><br />So far I have mounted two Mitsubishi M64282FP camera modules, on a servo:<br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/Builders/NovaOne/DSC00855.JPG" alt="Image" /><br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/Builders/NovaOne/DSC00849.JPG" alt="Image" /><br /><br />There is limited space inside, to put small PCB's ; I hope to put as much processing as i can inside the head:<br /><br />This is all the relevant information I have on the modules:<br /><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://home.iprimus.com.au/wjmoore/pic/proj_gbc.html">http://home.iprimus.com.au/wjmoore/pic/proj_gbc.html</a><!-- m --><br /><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Park/1302/gbcam.html">http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/ ... gbcam.html</a><!-- m --><br /><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.atmel.com/journal/documents/issue4/pg39_43_Robotics.pdf">http://www.atmel.com/journal/documents/ ... botics.pdf</a><!-- m --><br /><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/200011/LineDetect2.htm">http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/ ... etect2.htm</a><!-- m --><br /><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.geocities.com/vjkemp/M64282FP.PDF">http://www.geocities.com/vjkemp/M64282FP.PDF</a><!-- m --><br /><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.geocities.com/vjkemp/gbcam.htm">http://www.geocities.com/vjkemp/gbcam.htm</a><!-- m --><br /><br />I appreciate any help, especially if you have used a M64282FP before.<br /><br />I am easily distracted by other less demanding mods, so without collaboration/help it may be a long time before I get this working.<br /><br />My basic objectives are line following and distance estimation...(not exactly cutting edge stuff)<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=663">NovaOne</a> — Mon Aug 13, 2007 6:42 am</p><hr />
