Well, copyrights legally do not last forever, and this is the reason so many older songs are incorporated into modern AV works without concern for copyright infringements. How old is this series? It brings to mind several tv series that I watched when growing up that shaped my interests in robots, computers, and space science. To have these on tape, DVD or whatever media is remarkable. You're right, it would make more sense to see the original version posted in the original language. Anyone out there listening???

humanoido
Statistics: Posted by Humanoido — Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:59 am

How annoying, the only copies left on youtube are all in Greek. I hate dubbing, it makes the characters sound VERY out-of-character.
Statistics: Posted by tom_chang79 — Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:40 am

Enjoy, here is the searchlink on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... arch_type=

It's very unfortunate, since I have yet to see a DVD series published where the royalties would go to its rightful owner(s).

The only soft copies of this cartoon I've seen are "pirated" VCD copies from China and or Taiwan.

I don't know how one would consider it a "pirated" copy since, to the best of my knowledge, no copies exists in DVD, VCD, or other digital media format produced by the owner(s) of this media.

This reminds me of the Railroad Tycoon video game for the PC piracy issue. There was a huge demand for them, but the publisher refused to make anymore copies. At this point, would copying this still constitute piracy, especially since it is not competing against the original publisher?
Statistics: Posted by tom_chang79 — Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:38 am

This was a cool anime about humanoid robots that were controlled by laptops/computers back in the 80s that I used to watch as a kid in Japan, anyone ever watch this?

Here's a link to one of the episodes:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9FD6qOgD_s

When I saw the Kondo robot for the first time a couple of years ago, this was the cartoon that came to mind...

This cartoon was waaay ahead of its time, only until recently has it become near reality...
Statistics: Posted by tom_chang79 — Mon Feb 25, 2008 4:34 pm
