Having just bought a Roomba (yes, I know) there's a few things they don't tell you...<br /><br /><ul>The carpet builds up disturbing snail trails overnight<br />The simple algorithms are surprisingly effective, even for complicated floors<br />The simple algorithms are not perfect meaning that you do still have to hoover periodically<br />You really don't want to leave bits of paper, wires, screws etc on the floor<br />The human brain is determined to give the Roomba personality despite the knowledge that it's a very simple microcontroller<br />I have too many projects to consider building a new (and smarter) brain for it<br />A smarter brain for the Bioloid may lend itself nicely to the Roomba</ul><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=645">StuartL</a> — Wed Apr 15, 2009 7:24 am</p><hr />
