The bluetooth daemon was recognising the ps3 in my earlier ubuntu version 8.04. I could see the values in the hcidump and jstest, but when i tried using the hidraw interface, it gave an error and asked to upgrade the kernel.

Now that i have upgraded to ubuntu 8.10, even the hidd has stopped recognising the ps3 i.e. on the step:

sudo hidd --server --nocheck -n

hidd[17087]: Bluetooth HID daemon

then it keeps on waiting.
So, please help on how to get it going in ubuntu 8.10.

(as earlier:)
links used:
http://www.ps3hax.com/forum/tutorials/15604-enable-bluetooth-ydl-6-0-a.html
and
http://www.pabr.org/sixlinux/sixlinux.en.html
Statistics: Posted by python — Sun Nov 15, 2009 1:16 pm
