Hey guys,

Sorry for my lack of activity. I have been busy with my robot and at Lynxmotion Forums. My robot is a LynxMotion BRAT and his name is Canadesis. His servos have been upgraded to 5645MGs. I was planning on buying a RoboNova but then I realized the RoboNova was not for me because it would cost too much for eMachineShop parts.

Lynxmotion has Servo Erector Sets (or SES) which can be used to build pretty much anything. I decided to make a SES humanoid but since I didn't have enough money (~$1,800) to build one I just bought enough parts to build a BRAT. As I get money, I will buy more servos, brackets, and electronics so I could work on my final project: A 24DOF Humanoid Biped.

Here is the latest video of his walk:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=5NR0VZs-_sk

And some pictures of him:
http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/2990/img1877xf9.jpg
http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/3339/img1874qu6.jpg

I redid the configuration of his servos so now he stands up a lot straighter than before. Those pictures are sorta old.

-robodude666

P.S. Matt, if your reading this then I wanna tell you I miss you Come back soon...
Statistics: Posted by robodude666 — Fri Aug 25, 2006 4:05 pm
