I received my SV4140 upgrade kit on Friday and just got around to installing them along with the replacement head turn servo. I used the gears from one of the original hip servos to replace the ones in the shoulder that I stripped. While doing so I noticed I had stripped the gears in one of the SV4130 hip servos. So now his only upgrades are the hip servos to SV4140's and it makes a big difference. If you have a RoboPhilo I highly recommend upgrading at least the hip servos. One of the major selling points to this bot is the low cost so I don't think I'll be upgrading many more servos, but only time will tell. Going from the SV4130 to the SV4140 did make a noticable difference.
Statistics: Posted by jaybirdtke — Sun Feb 10, 2008 4:55 am

That's a good question. I placed my order a little over a week ago, and have yet to receive even a confirmation that it has shipped.
Statistics: Posted by jaybirdtke — Wed Feb 06, 2008 11:54 pm

I ordered the SV4140 upgrade servo kit for the hip servos but they have not yet arrived. I'll keep you posted. I hope he will be able to balance on one leg and lift the other leg to a 90 degree position using only the hip servo.
Statistics: Posted by jaybirdtke — Mon Feb 04, 2008 11:42 pm

I have not tested any of the following servos in my RoboPhilo.
