i have yet to decide on my first humanoid i am a college student and want to eventually take part in robo one style competitions but have entry level robot experience what humoid kit would you suggest

There is a lot of talk that there will be no Robogames 2014. If this comes to pass then I invite everyone to the Kansas City Maker Faire 2014 next year in June.

We have a Mechwarfare arena, Kungfu arena plus a lot of space to have the event in.

As of 20 June 2012, the first day of competition at RoboCup 2012, 8 out of 24 – a full one-third – teams in the Kid-Sized competitive had a DARwIn-OP robot in their corner, compared to only RoMeLa a year ago.

This was a small event, mainly focused on motivating students that will be enrolling at Birmingham City University this coming year, but still a good opportunity to show some of our robots and get feedback.

Everything is ready for the robotic area at the Kansas City Maker Faire 2012.

We have a Humanoid Kungfu and demo arena.

A sumo bot and line following arena.

The Mechwarfare arena was been repainted and is ready too go. It looks great.

I will start posting pictures this Friday during setup. Only a little over 4 days until the event starts. I can not wait.

We are going to be present in the Birmingham TechFest (16th of May) together with Microsoft.

We will take a few Robobuilders and a Kinect to show their use with Microsoft Technologies.

There where only a few Raspberry Pi given out to special makers like Joey. Both the Leonardo and Pi where given to Joey to use. The Leonardo was from Massimo him self, see the autograph on the back. There where only about 100 at the faire for sale and I did not get there in time to get one.

The Pi was given to him by someone from element 14. There where none for sale at the faire. I have one on order like a lot of people. I heard no update on when they will start shipping.
