Kansas City, MO Maker Faire 2012

Everything is ready for the robotic area at the Kansas City Maker Faire 2012.

We have a Humanoid Kungfu and demo arena.

A sumo bot and line following arena.

The Mechwarfare arena was been repainted and is ready too go. It looks great.

I will start posting pictures this Friday during setup. Only a little over 4 days until the event starts. I can not wait.

Call for Makers for the Kansas City Maker Faire is about ready to start. Dates will be June 23rd and 24th! The robot area will be bigger this year with lots of room for robots and robot projects. We still have the Mechwarfare arena and kungfu arena from last year. We can also easily add a soccer field or area for sumo or line following with little problems. Send me an e-mail if you need more details or information or if you want to be on the robotic area mailing list.

If you want to participate in the Kansas city Maker faire you need to fill out and submit the call for Maker's form. This will make the job of our venue (Union Station) and their event planner easier. As soon as the call for makers is over they will start planning and organizing the event. Who goes where, who needs power, who needs more than just a table ( the mechwarfare arena is a good example!).

This is the promo video for next years maker faire.

We are working on the dates for next year but it should be the 3rd weekend of June in the same venue as this year, our Union Station.

Mech warfare will be back along with other types of robot competitions.
