It is also why this product, being a first from the company, seems already so mature in terms of features (ie a second generation humanoid).<br /><br />Pedro <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=1061">PedroR</a> — Fri Jul 04, 2008 10:55 am</p><hr />

It looks like an excellent metal brackets set especially the knee and hip brackets. However it does raise a question <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /> of whether they have been having problems with the original plastic joints.<br />As nobody has had any real use out of this kit.<br />I get my one today <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=548">Sonic</a> — Thu Jul 03, 2008 3:12 pm</p><hr />

Hey guys<br /><br />We just received the annoucement from Robobuilder that they will be releasing a metal brackets set for HUNO (the humanoid).<br />According to Robobuilder, the brackets set is aimed at helping the customers who want to enjoy more robust structure in order mainly to participate in robot competitions.<br /><br />The video is here:<br /><div class='bbmedia' data-url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY7y3IWZGok&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1' style='margin: 1px; display: inline-block; vertical-align: bottom;'><div style='width: 200px; height: 40px; border: 1px solid #999; display: table-cell; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; font: 10px/10px Verdana; color: #555; opacity: 0.5;'><a style='color: #105289; text-decoration: none;' href='http://phpbbex.com/' target='_blank'>phpBB</a> &#91;media&#93;</div><script>if (typeof bbmedia == 'undefined') { bbmedia = true; var e = document.createElement('script'); e.async = true; e.src = 'js/bbmedia.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(e, s); }</script></div><br /><br />The video also shows off some really cool and fast Robobuilder motions. This seems to demonstrate that the weight added by the metal brackets does not impact the robot's speed or balance/weight distribution.<br /><br />Here are some more pics:<br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Robobuilder/huno1-m-view-1.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Robobuilder/huno1-m-left.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Robobuilder/huno1-m-front.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br />The release dates are not yet announced but from what we could see, this still a prototype so we need to wait a couple of months. I will keep posting  news on this.<br /><br />Pedro  <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=1061">PedroR</a> — Thu Jul 03, 2008 1:56 pm</p><hr />
