Hi Joe
You would have to buy additional servos and joints.
There is an item from Robobuilder that has all the parts of the 5710k except the servos and controler. We don't stock it at the moment but we will do next year.
Statistics: Posted by limor — Mon Dec 01, 2008 1:24 pm

Hi, after checking with the manufacturer, the rubber wheel is not part of the kit for the time being. The 3rd foot part is supposed to be part of the kit so if it didn't come in your kit we will send you the missing part.
Statistics: Posted by limor — Thu Nov 27, 2008 6:54 pm

Hello,
Just a little question : I can't find "wheels tire" (for the "Four-wheeled Vehicle" robot) and the third "foot part" for the "Robotic Arm" robot. Is it normal ? Maybe an expansion kit is needed ?
Best regards
Statistics: Posted by qxs69 — Wed Nov 26, 2008 11:33 pm

Hi all

I wanted to annouce that we will soon be releasing a new member of the Robobuilder family: the Robobuilder 5710-E02 Educational/beginner Kit.

This is somewhat like the Bioloid beginner except that this one has 8 DOF where the Bioloid only has 4DOF. It will be selling for aprox 210 GBP+VAT (the Bioloid Beginner sells for 185 GBP + VAT)

Technically it is very similar to the 5710K humanoid kit we already sell: same controller board, sound sensor, distance sensor, joint insert assembly, PID motion control, etc...
The only difference is the number of DOF (8 in the beginner kit versus 16 in the 5710K humanoid).

Check out this video with several constructions:

phpBB [media]

Constructions featured in the video:
- Small humanoid (no arms; just legs several DOF)
- Remote controlled Robotic Arm with gripper to pick up and move objects.
- Remote controlled Car
- Remote controlled car with robotic arm
- Snake

The positioning for this robot is a bit different than HUNO. The constructions featured in the video may seem a bit "toy-like" but I think it makes a very nice platform to build on (making other constructions, adding servos, mods, etc).

I hope it also becomes a very good desktop companion, specially when modded with and OLED, to display RSS, new emails, etc...
Let's see how inventive you guys can be

For customers who have previouslly ordered from us, we will offer a discount of 25 GBP, which means we offer it for the same price as the bioloid beginner

Thanks []
Pedro
Statistics: Posted by PedroR — Wed Jul 16, 2008 5:28 pm
