Thanks PedroR,

Thats indeed a relief, and I dont think that 8Kg.cm with 11Kg.cm of torque makes all that difference. Besides I wont be putting my Huno under any excess forces, all I expect from him is to do the tricks he does (eg. running) in videos I have seen from youtube.
Statistics: Posted by stamanol — Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:30 pm

Hi Stamanol

From an assembly perspective it is perfectly possible to build the robots using all 1108.

The main difference between 1111 and 1108 is that in 1108 all the cogs are plastic and in 1111 some of them are metal.

At most what might happen is that some plastic cogs break if they are subject to high forces but I do not anticipate this happening as the weight in Robobuilder seems to be well distributed.
Statistics: Posted by PedroR — Sat Feb 07, 2009 5:48 pm

Hi,

Some time ago ago I had purchased the robobuilder begginer kit which has 8 servos inside (i think all of them are wck1108).
However I decided to upgrade it to the full kit so that I would be able to build Huno,Dino or Doggy.
So I purchased 8 wck1108 servos. But after looking at the manual at what am I going to build I found out that in the full kit the 4 out of the 16 servos are wck1111 which are used particularly in the Huno legs.
My question is : Will I be able to build Huno with wck1108 servos on his legs instead of the wck1111? Will they be able to support its weight? Or will I have problems with Huno falling over or with very fast servo degredation? To be honest the difference in torque between the two servos doesnt seem so great and I have the feeling that whatever one servo is capable of,the other is as well and this difference is not visible.Am I right or wrong? Please tell me what you think. Thanks very much.
Statistics: Posted by stamanol — Thu Feb 05, 2009 11:30 pm
