Several coats, with buffing in between. I got a little cracking on one shoulder, but quickly decided that I could live with it. <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=299">Joe</a> — Mon Mar 09, 2009 8:13 pm</p><hr />

Hi guys,<br /><br />I just finished some appearance mods on my RoboBuilder kit (hey, if he faces another one in competition, I want to be able to tell which is mine!). Thought I'd share them here first:<br /><br /><img src="http://www.strout.net/info/robotics/robobuilder.png" alt="Image" /><br /><br />Those are silver body plates (they look a little gold in the picture, but that's just my poor photography). And of course that red light in the head cycles back and forth, Cylon-style.<br /><br />Under that shiny exterior is a 3-axis accelerometer and a Bluetooth module, and <a href="http://robosavvy.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=1101" class="postlink">l3v3rz</a> and I are working on some <a href="http://code.google.com/p/robobuilderlib/" class="postlink">custom firmware</a>. I'm hoping to have him ready to participate in <a href="http://www.robogames.net/" class="postlink">RoboGames 2009</a>, though there is still a lot to do...<br /><br />Including picking a name. I'm terrible at naming robots. Any suggestions?<br /><br />Cheers,<br />- Joe<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=299">Joe</a> — Mon Mar 09, 2009 4:27 am</p><hr />
