Individual servo control is now working after the latest code commit.

It is now possible to control Robobuilder's individual servos via ROS messages in standard radian angles. Next I'll add position reporting for all servos, i.e., all measured servos' positions will be sent to a ROS topic.

Check it out here: https://code.google.com/p/robobuilder-ros-pkg/

Cheers,
Marco
Statistics: Posted by marco — Mon Nov 28, 2011 4:48 pm

Hi all,

I'd like to announce that I started working on a ROS package for Robobuilder. The idea is to have access to all of Robobuilder's functionality via the serial protocol.

You can get the software at http://robobuilder-ros-pkg.googlecode.com

Right now it is possible to make the Robobuilder play motions but I plan to add support for controlling the individual servos.

This will really increase the value-for-money of the robobuilder and allow development of new applications based on the huge amount of software that runs on ROS.

Cheers,
Marco
Statistics: Posted by marco — Thu Nov 24, 2011 4:26 pm
