Hi,
www.mechrc.com does not exist any more. Is there any other palce where I can get the reg file and driver to run mechrc commander under windows 7?

Hi,
Am looking to buy a new / used Mech RC and hopefully get into the add on and body kits but am struggling to find any UK stockists. Does anyone have one for sale or know anywhere where I can buy the Robot and parts?
Would anyone recommend the MechRC, if so would like to hear any feedback or problems anyone's experienced?

I have for sale my Mech RC robot. He is the educational edition so he has the nice see through blue casing, a spare battery and the educational material. He comes with everything that the Shadow Stalker has (charge lead, program lead, etc..)

user guide for comprehensive and premium are similarly good.
zig100 is easier to deal with. bluesmirf you have to hack the plastic to insert.
the dynamixel library api dll provided by robotis can be linked with any windows programming environment.

According to the MechRC user guide page 9 (or 2:9 on the PDF) you can get
1. "Body Kits:

3. "Mechanical Expansion:

a 1 6 - b i t h i g h s p e e d
c ont ro l l e r that can be
upgraded to provide extended
functionality."

As yet i have not been able to find any of the above But i E-mailed a couple o people and hope to hear from them

there is an issue that the MechRC software & USB dongle installation packages as supplied on the CD do not support Windows 7 64bit.

Issue: The MechRC Commander software installation will not complete.

Solution: Open this link: http://www.mechrc.com/downloads/mechrc.zip

Then open the zip file (if it does not open automatically) and double click the mechrc.reg file inside it to add the required entries into the computer’s registry (click ‘yes’ when prompted). Then install the MechRC Commander Software installation package from the CD.

Issue: The USB dongle does not have an associated COM port available in the MechRC Commander software when plugged in.

Solution: Download the latest version of the USB dongle driver installation file:

http://www.mechrc.com/downloads/USB_Setup_v110.exe

Double click the file to install the latest drivers on the machine (following all on screen installation prompts). Restart the MechRC Commander software.
