Hi

This is the forum for supporting and promoting/sharing your experience with the Roboard, used on different Robot platforms (Bioloid, Robonova, Robobuilder, KHR, stand alone, etc.).

The Roboard is a full blown x86 computer with a size slightly larger than a credit card and extremely low power usage.
The board packs everything a full-blown computer has:

486 class processor at 1 Ghz, 256Mg memory, LAN (wired), Sound Card (sound input & sound output), 3 USB ports.
The OS runs on a MicroSD card (that shows up as a normal IDE disk drive to the operating system).

Additionally, the board includes the following features for Robotics:
- 24 PWM ports
- 4 COMM ports:
RS 232 x1
RS 485 x 1
Full Duplex UART at TTL level x1
Half Duplex UART at TTL level x1
- 8x A/D ports
- JTAG, SPI and I2C

It also includes a MiniPCI slot for standard MiniPCI expansion cards. Typically this is used to fit a VGA card for video output but the board also supports console redirection in case you don't wish to use one.

An open source C library is supplied for Windows, Linux and DOS to take advantage of the board's features.

Additional information about the board is available here
http://robosavvy.com/site/index.php?opt ...
