Got Fedora11 working on the ROBoard now and very pleased with it so far!

Hi,

1. install OS to other platform is mean install to your PC first.
2. follow the step 15 after install.

Actually the RoBoard build-in processor is the special chip, so the current Linux kernel cannot recognize RoBoard hardware, you cannot use regular installation method, so you have to install in SD from your PC first then patch the kernel to include RoBoard hardware then move SD card to have RoBoard working.

Thanks for the quick response. I think the instructions for the
windows xp are very clear. But, the linux version needs some
updating.

This link cannot be found. The error is:
The requested URL /debian-cd/4.0_r5/i386/iso-cd/ was not found on this server.

In addition, the instructions in the following doc are not too clear.

(1) What do you mean install OS on other platform first?
Do you mean to create a bootable USB pendrive with the
UBUNTU image in it?
(2) Which section is the "second half of the guide"? Can you
give a page number?
(3) Can you give the detailed steps for the following instruction:

Hi hexapod

The easiest way to get it working with Linux is to use their Linux instalaltion instructions and their modified kernel for the Roboard.

That one ahs been used and teste dby many people so far.

Can you please explain ehich exactly is the link you say is broken and where is it mentioned, so we can have a better looka t it?
