Sorry for keep asking...

When I installed ubuntu 9.10 with generic i386 kernel, I was not able to install the ethernet driver. Driver compiled without any error and generated .ko file but couldn't get past the insmod.

Were you able to make the ethernet (wired) work with your Fedora 11?

If you use the "special" kernel from the Roboard, you must install the sources from roboard.com to fit the kernel version.
At my Fedora 11 I'm haven't installed this one and everything works just fine.

Note:
Fedora 12 don't work. It isn't build for i386 PCs anymore.

If your system isn't up to date type these two:

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

After that you can install the sources with:

apt-get install linux-source

I got the VIA VT6655 wifi card for the Roboard, but having trouble installing the driver. Right now I am running Debian 5.0 with my Roboard, but I have also tried with ubuntu 9.10.

When I try to compile the driver provided by VIA, it says cannot find .conf file. I also tried ndiswrapper with the Windows XP driver, but did not work either. Seems to be related to module dependency, but I am no Linux expert.

I have notice on the Debian wiki that they provide drivers for many other wifi cards such as Intel Pro/Wireless 2200. Would these drivers work with our custom kernel?
