Could be one of two issues: lack of power, or grounding problem between the two power supplies (improper ground, etc).
Statistics: Posted by PaulL — Wed Jan 25, 2012 5:00 am

Hello,

I have an ebox running linux. When I plug-in my external USB HD, it does hang up. Could it be lack of AC power? I use a custom adapter, not the original one.

I can think of no other reason for this... Anyone has a clue about what is gonig on?

The external HD is a 2 TB ext3fs drive, through external HD case and has it's own AC adapter, so does not need any USB power to work.

regards
Statistics: Posted by atma — Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:53 pm
