Announcement: New Roboard 100RD now available

Hi all

We're happy to announce the release and availability of the new Roboard 100RD.

This is the new version of Roboard 100 featuring the latest Vortex86DX processor revision (Rev D).

(Roboard 100RD is now available stand alone or as a starter pack with VGA card as shown in the picture)

This revision brings a number of important improvements:
- Faster COMM port speeds now up to 750kbps on all ports.
- Improved IDE controller support and compatibility: Windows XP and many other OSes now install directly on the Roboard 100RD without needing any special driver.

Vortex86 DX Rev D is the same processor revision used in Roboard 110 (and the prototypes of Roboard 050 that seems to have been cancelled) so it is now up to date with the latest from Roboard.

If you need faster COMM port speeds (up to 12Mbps) then we recommend Roboard 110 which boats a High Speed UART chip with 2 high speed ports.

We've revised all the Roboard pages and packs to include the most up to date information.
They can now be found here http://robosavvy.com/store/roboard+10

Additionally we have put together a comparison chart for Roboard 100RD / Roboard 110 to make it easier for users to choose the model that better suits their needs.

I'd like to finish by leaving a note about Roboard 050: at the moment and according to the information available Roboard 050 is not being released.
Instead, it's features are matched by the new Roboard 100RD which should offer most of what RB-050 offered but has a larger forma factor.
Statistics: Posted by PedroR — Fri Jul 13, 2012 4:18 pm
