Hi Andri,

For calibration you need a USB2Dynamixel, but if you have enough experience in development you can also use the example code posted previously on the forum and port it to your platform.

Best regards,
Hamid.
Statistics: Posted by hamid_m — Sat Jan 01, 2011 10:17 am

Hello,

I'm a student from a University in Montevideo-Uruguay. Sorry for my bad English .

I'm working for my degree with a Bioloid premium kit (with cm-510) and the Hamid's vision module v1.5.

I'm having some trubles trying to calibrate the module using the cm-510.
I connected the cm-510 to the Dinamixel2USB in RS232, then i transmited the calib.hex from the HaViMo 1.5 software download.

I open the CameraCalib15.hex and I open the com, but the program can't find the camera. Nor even read the registers from the camera.

I could get a cm-5, and did the same. Watching a tutorial video a tryed to type "go" in the roboplus terminal after y download de calib.hex, and in the cm-5 the program recognized the camera, and i could read the registers from it (reg 0 = 42, reg 1 = 01, etc). But when I try to get a picture, it shows a progress bar, and near the end it says "Communication Error!".

Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

I didn't try to calibrate it directly with the HaViMoUSB.exe connecting the camera to the Dinamixel2USB becouse I saw somewhere in this forum that you need an external power supply for the camera (which i don't have)

Thanks.
Gonzalo Gismero.
Statistics: Posted by ggismero — Tue Jul 20, 2010 11:40 pm
