Might anyone post the schematics of the ICS cable ? I have tried to read and write Kondo servos using a microcontroller but I cannot figure out how signals work. I am able to set motor position but the special functions (reading data or setting parameters) do not work. Anyone has been able to crack the commands sent to Kondo servos other than the usual position settings ?
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Mon Jan 02, 2006 8:38 pm

Thanks for the reply. I don't suppose there's any way to modify the cable to work?
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Mon Jan 02, 2006 6:23 pm

Nope. The ICS cable is an active cable that is intended to send digital signals to the servo, while the standard cable is a common RS232 cable.
The only 'active' part that comes in the standard cable is a resistor!
Statistics: Posted by inaki — Mon Jan 02, 2006 1:38 pm

Is the ICS cable that comes with the KHR-1 for communication with the RCB-1 the same cable used by servo manager software and gyro manager software? Will it work to allow reversing one servo for use with the krg-2?
Statistics: Posted by FrittsLogic — Sun Jan 01, 2006 9:21 pm
