Looking at the low speed comms port pin-out on the RCB3, there is only single direction comms with the radio gear. This implies that if I could hook this up to the PC via a Bluetooth link, I would not get the latency issues that have made BT nearly impossible to implement for PaulP, etc. (I only want to use BT for remote control, not uploading motions, etc).

Does anyone know if the codes for this are supported by RCB commander or Runtaku?

Hi, sorted, it was me being fooled by seeing a blank screen that the program had ended, a couple of right clicks and I was away.

It now works fine and I can set keys on the keyboard to run motions.

This is using the high speed comms connection on the RCB3.

I was suprised this worked, as I understood it, RCB Commander can be used with the KRT-3, Kondo ICS USB adapter and KRR-1 connected to the slow comms port on the RCB3. Does the ICS USB adapter somehow convert the signals from 115k sown to the 2.4k slow port speed for transmission across the KRR-1 or is there something else i'm missing.

Aside from this, I have been looking at the TEC-1 board for using a Logitec PS2 controller, I emailed the company selling them to see if they can supply to the UK, fingers crossed.

Hi, the ini file was in the process of being created when the shot was taken,

The serial port is showing ok in the windows hardware list as port 3. I tried changing the 0 to a 3 in the ini file but a similar error.

I will try re-loading the drivers to see if that helps.

Basically, it roughly translates to "Serial port closed" which probably means it can't find the serial port. I also noticed that the ini file in the listing in the background is 0 bytes.

You might start with re-installing the Kondo USB/Serial drivers from the CD, and then check the Windows control panel to see if it's working okay and what serial port is assigned.

Can you post a screenshot of the error message you're getting?

Hi, I have read through the other posts on RCB Commander and I have a question.

With the standard USB to serial adapter connected to the fast comms port on the RCB3, should RCB Commander work?

I start RCB commander and get an error come up (Japanese) and the software ends. I edited the .ini file to point at my comms port and it still errors. I then thought, aha, maybe as its designed with the USB - radio set in mind, maybe it uses the slower comms port on the RCB, still no joy.

Does the ICS USB adapter and radio combination do something completely different to way the standard USB RS232 converter communicates?

My aim is to provide remote control via bluetooth (remote control, not programming the RCB3) without using Kondo's radio gear.
