It's version 0.9.

In terms of program development, expandability, and handling sensors, it has more potential than the RCB3 - assuming you are able to do your own development - and is more standardized and open than the Motion Processor. The downsides at this point appear to be the price ($$$), support outside of Japan and docs.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Sun Apr 22, 2007 5:25 am

Hi Limor,

Thank you for your info Limor.
Since I have broken 1 one of my servos, so I will use 786 red version as the fact, as what I could infer from what you said, RCB1 can handle 786 and 784 simultaneously.

What do you think this board?
http://www.ixs.co.jp/products/controlle ... ard-j.html

anyone has used this board?
Since it offers several features, this board could be a good option for developing programming capability, including sensors.

Cheers

ryann2k1
Statistics: Posted by ryann2k1 — Sun Apr 22, 2007 3:26 am

Hi Ryan,

The RCB-1 will work with the 786 servo but you wont get much more than you already have.

If you want more power then there are some new high-voltage servos that are compatible in shape to the 784/786 but that would require replacing the RCB-1 with RCB-3

If you want more programming options, then just change the controler board.
Statistics: Posted by limor — Sat Apr 21, 2007 6:03 pm

Hi all,
I am planning to change two servos(krs-784 blue version) in my robot'legs(KHR-1) with krs-786 red version. is it still possible for RCB-1 boards to control the blue and the red versions?
I am worried to ruin my RCB-1 boards.
Thank you.

Cheers,

ryann2k1
Statistics: Posted by ryann2k1 — Fri Apr 20, 2007 11:29 am
