Thanks for all your comments. But it is still not working. Are there other ways to programme my robot. Are there any technical support in Hong Kong? I am a bit curious would it be related to PID0001 or PID0002?
Statistics: Posted by johnsik — Sun May 06, 2007 3:15 pm

As the LED flashed when you unplugged the usb key it could be that you haven't turned the ICS back . can you get this screen up.

As you have gone tit to work once I would rule the dongle out as the problem. Try going to through the instructions for the ICS when I did it to my bot it was hassale and took a couple of tries to work.

Bren
Statistics: Posted by Robo1 — Fri May 04, 2007 5:19 pm

Thanks. I checked the control panel, it is COM4, and I am sured that it is the same as that on Heart to heart, Sync box was checked. I tried both English (downloaded) and Japanese version (come with the kit) of Heart to Heart.
The link had been working once when I tried to tune the initial positions of the servo. Then after I tried that silly FTclean (need setting 165C on 'others'), then it did not work.
Tried to push that button on RCB, there was no flashing, and went off if the push last more than a sec. And it lit again if the button was released.
Statistics: Posted by johnsik — Fri May 04, 2007 7:06 am

Then, boot H2H3 and select that comm port, and make sure the SYNC box is checked.

The blue status bar directly under the icons shows the comms status and will tell you if the comm port doesn't exist. Put a POS object on the screen, double click, and set the channel you want to test to SERVO.

Just curious, are you using the English or the Japanese H2H3J manual now?
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Fri May 04, 2007 6:32 am

I would say it's to do with windows

have you had it working yet!

it's a silly question but have you made sure H2H is using the same com port as the adapter!

if you unplug the usb dongle and plug it back in does any of the lights change.

I also find that just trying to press the play button some times courses the LED to flash but nothing happens, but that's because i'm running it off a mac.

to make sure it works the best way of testing H2H is pressing the yellow bird button if it doesn't load you know it's not talking with the bot.

Bren
Statistics: Posted by Robo1 — Fri May 04, 2007 5:53 am

PaulP wrote:
Im not certain but I dont think ICS works properly on the 2HV which has the RCB3J and uses H2H3J

Exactly. The KHR-2HV uses KRS-788HV servos that don't have ICS functionality, and the RCB3J controller doesn't have that firmware enabled. That being said, I'm not sure why johnsik is clicking ICS, as he mentioned in the original post.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Thu May 03, 2007 3:57 pm
