THANK YOU VERY MUCH, the information and link provided is MOST helpful....

I bought my KHR-1HV from IXS since I am located in Taiwan. So most probably a RCB3

Assembly is easy but took a long time ~ 6hrs in total maybe...

OK, time to fire it up tonight...
Statistics: Posted by ycwoon — Sat May 19, 2007 9:32 am

In cronological order-

RCB3J - released along with the KHR-2HV includes almost all of the full RCB3 functionality with the exception of the serial (ICS) functions used for the KRS-4000 series servos.

H2H3J - the matching application for the RCB3J. Used with the KHR-2HV. Can work with other robots and servos as long as you don't need the serial functionality.

H2H3J English - so far the only version that has been translated. Works with the KHR-2HV and with the KHR-1HV, and Manoi AT01 stock configurations - but may not work if you change the servos to KRS-4013/4014.

RCB3 - the fully functional controller that supports the serial functionality. Used with the KHR-1HV and Manoi AT01 - primarily because they have KRS-4024 servos that could be swapped out for 4013/4014s.

H2H3 - the matching application for the RCB3.

RCB3 V1.03 - upgraded firmware with improved functionality released in Feb, 2007. Currently shipping with the Manoi PF01 and is expected to be phased in with other kits later. Motion files created for earlier firmware versions are not directly compatible since the conditional branch execution speeds are different, but can be edited to run.

HTH3_070205 - the matching application for the RCB3 V1.03.

As Orac mentioned, it's highly likely that your KHR-1HV is using the original RCB3.

As for potential smoke - it isn't likely. You should be okay as long as you stick with the original H2H3 or H2H3J software.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Thu May 17, 2007 3:34 pm

I use HTH3 with an RCB3

I believe the RCB3J board is only used in the KHR-2HV.

Your KHR-1HV should have a standard RCB3 in it.
Statistics: Posted by Orac — Wed May 16, 2007 2:01 pm
