It may be obvious, but just in case it isn't, the antenna needs to be installed on the KRT-3 using the screw on the top, and should be in a position where there's good signal strength to the KRR receiver antenna. And, the transmitter and receiver frequencies have to match - i.e. a Ad-3 transmitter crystal will only talk to a Ad-3 receiver.

Also, I checked a couple of Japanese sites, and they both recommended using the RCBCommander application with the KRT-3.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Sat Jul 14, 2007 1:58 pm

There are a couple applications on the Kondo website you might try:

RCBCommander allows you to create buttons and assign them to motions or scenarios. It's basically a KRC-1 on the PC. The documentation is only in Japanese, but it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.

RunTaku - a very primative application with buttons for each motion and scenario.

I haven't tried them with the KRT-3 yet, but from the docs the RCBCommander will probably do what you're looking for. RunTaku might also - it's hard to tell without trying them.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Sat Jul 14, 2007 7:53 am

It can be done double clicking on the motion window to bring up the dialog box, or by using the Table function (my preferred method).

The setting process is the same in both cases.

o H2H3 needs to be running and connected to the robot/RCB3 via the RCB3 high speed port.
o The remote receiver module should be plugged into the RCB3 low speed port.
o Bring up the setting dialog box in H2H3.
o Make sure your remote is turned on.
o Press and hold the remote key you want to assign to the motion.
o While keeping the key depressed, click on the 'Reception' button in the dialog box.

If everything is working correctly, H2H3 will sense, via the RCB3, the keycode that's being sent from the remote, and will automatically enter it in the Control Input field on the form.

If the displayed code doesn't change, then you have a problem with the remote communicating with the receiver module, or some other issue.

You can enter the codes manually, of course, but doing it that way doesn't verify that the communication is working between the remote and the receiver/RCB3.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Sat Jul 14, 2007 2:12 am

Thanks for your time,

I refer to USB remote control unit(01105). My problem is that I can not communicate this with robot.

I suppose that this module replace the USB/serial module, or this only replace a KRC-1 remote controller unit(01110) ?

The USB/Serial module appear in my PC as COM5, and the USB Remote appear as COM6. Changing to COM6 port the robot make nothing.

The Option window it is like Tempusmaster has indicated.

I thank your comments.
Statistics: Posted by igor — Mon Jun 25, 2007 8:31 pm

The easiest way is to use the table function, but you could also do it by clicking on the start flag in each motion, assign the key, then download the motion to the RCB3.

If not, as Limor mentioned, we'll need more detail to try and figure out what problem you're running into.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Mon Jun 25, 2007 12:55 pm
