H2H3J is the only version that's been translated into English. The other H2H3 versions are only in Japanese, at least so far.

On the other hand, selections are in the same place, so if you work through the docs enough to understand what's going on, then you can make a little cheat-sheet to tell you which selections or buttons to hit.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Fri Sep 07, 2007 3:26 pm

The links on the Kondo website only show the earlier RCB-3 manual and H2H3 application. On the Kyosho site they show a photo of the new board on their sensor page, but don't have any other information yet. Neither company has sent out a press release email yet.

We'll probably know more soon though with ROBO-ONE 12 only a couple weeks away. That's one of the major events for both companies and they wouldn't miss the chance to promote a new board like this..
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Sat Sep 01, 2007 4:20 am

I would almost guarantee that there will be no English documents for this. I will have to drag out my PDF converter again.

I can't blame them really. I don't think they ever intended to have a mass market for these products outside of Japan.

Producing good quality English software and documentation means that the entire world will expect to buy these and expect a high standard of support that Kondo just don't seem to be prepared for.

God knows what I would do if any of my companies products caught on in Japan....
Statistics: Posted by Orac — Thu Aug 30, 2007 9:24 pm

Kyosho will soon ship "Manoi sensor board" which can be connected to RCB3HV. Although detail of this board is not announced, this board has 32 sensor ports.

Today Kondo announced the update of RCB3HV controller to ver1.1.

Droid Works wrote:
I know what the manuals say but is there a way to give it more sensors. I was hoping there is to be some way to add more.

Fair enough.

I assumed that you already knew at least one way given your post on the previous thread - http://robosavvy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1430

Anyway, the stock controller (RCB3 or RCB3J depending on the robot) has three standard analog inputs. There is also rumored to be a way to get a few more analog inputs (8-bit probably) for master/slave control, though I haven't seen any English documentation or write-up. You also have the spare channels that can be used as disgital signal outputs to control a multiplexer. And, beyond that, you can always change the controller to something with more sensor channels.
Statistics: Posted by Ghostrider — Thu Aug 30, 2007 6:59 am
