The Kondo servos are dedicated digital robot servos with no mounting flaps like rc servos have.
Also they give position feedback and other things you can change through the software (ICS)
Another thing is that the current servos use 9 to 12v.
The older non HV series can be used with 6v.
It's possible to use the Hitec you mention but you wont have positional feedback and you have to modify a lot to make them fit.
