I have a 1HV so here is my take

If you want more "canned" moves go for the 2HV

If you want your bot to be able to lift a leg and turn instead of "shuffle" it's feet get the 1HV

Both take adds on like the Gyro and Accel. as well as the remote options

I went with the Tec-1 solution instead of the Kondo remote

The 1HV is a little taller so good balance during moves is slightly harder to achieve but still very possible

You use the RAS-2 to determine if the robot is face up or face down (software coding) then have it execute the correct moves to get up.

Of course you can program the remote to execute any move stored in the bot as well (all done in software and uploaded to the bot).

I will probably get the clear Genex suit and paint it up to match some famous "bot" out there
Statistics: Posted by BrianG — Wed Jan 30, 2008 12:29 am

Sorry no time to go further into this but better download the English KHR2-HV and RCB3/HTH3 manuals.
Also download the RAS-2 accellerator sensor manual Limor put up.
This will explain how the robot gets up.
Most of your other questions are answered in these manuals.
I always download and study the manual to death before buying expensive stuff.
Statistics: Posted by Meltdown — Tue Jan 29, 2008 8:34 pm

Hi ,i looking to get myself a kondo robot humanoid, i had a bioloid but know want a robot that i can add stuff to and adapt. I love the genex suit!! especially in clear. has anyone bought the clear shell? Custom paint jobs on it?
Going off track there , I have already spoken to Limor about the remote capabilities and gyros etc for the khr's. But my question is which KHR should i get? The 1 or the 2?
Apart fromt eh 1 having two extra servos at the hips is this all?
Are they both the same to capture motions and add gyros etc?
How much tinkering do i need to do straight out the box to get him to walk? the same goes for adding gyros and the remote control! Is it a case of plug in reciever and it working .
And last question , the one that i c ant figure out. How does the robot get up when it falls down? How does it know this? Do you ahve to program this in or does the additon of the senosr adn gyros make him atomatically know? Does this also account for remote control too, or do you have a button you press which makes him get up??
Any help with anything regarding them would be super!
Thanks
Dave
Statistics: Posted by Dave — Tue Jan 29, 2008 5:03 pm
