I don't have a price yet but it will be right around cost. It will be available threw Trossen robotics and Robosavvy has showed interest also. So Trossen for sure and possibly Robosavy.

Sounds like a few great upgrades, do you have a price set yet? Will you be selling through distributors or your website?

The head I just made for fun but I suppose I could make some more if anyone wanted one. But I am finishing up the docs on it and getting all the parts ready to ship. I will have some amazing video of it soon and some hi def pics. The next video will be of it doing long walks in rough terrain like cement, gravel, dirt, blacktop, wood,carpet ect. To show the stability of the kit.

The parts in the kit are.

left and right leg assembly

gyro shim

Battery butt pack

2 weighted hands

optional elbow servo addition

and docs for all.

Cool, so 1 000 upgrade kits?

What does the upgrade kit include? How much time does it take to install? Is that cool head included? Can you upload pictures? It would be very cool to see this bot in hi-def!

Its all about center of gravity and weight distribution. The kit is basically a redesigned 1hv from the waist down new legs, battery placement and other weight redistribution mods. It even works good with no gyros. I have lots of vids I will be posting after the robogames.

I will be showing the kit on my 1HV at the robogames and they will be available for purchase after the robogames. More details to come after the robogames.

The production # on my 1hv is 1043 and I bought that almost 1 year ago. So there has to be at least 1000 in customers hands as of last year. So by now there has to be at least 2000 in customers hands.Also when I make the kit available I am hoping it will boost the sales even more.

I think Limor was questioning (surprised?) the 1,000 number.

The original KHR-1 is reported to have sold 4,000 units world wide over a period of three years. The KHR-2HV replaced it, and has probably sold a similar number of units already - it's hard to tell exactly.

The KHR-1HV is more expensive, and more complex, so it's likely that it hasn't sold in the same volumes. Just looking at the store shelves here, I would guess that the KHR-1HV sales are around 10% of the KHR-2HV numbers - give or take a bit.

So, "1,000" seems like a bit of a stretch.

Anyway, we can talk in San Francisco next week.
