the 2HV was a very different kit. It had for example plastic brackets instead of metal.<br /><br />the KHR1 is a very versatile kit in metal. it is now a classic and you should keep it alive for future generations.   <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /> <br />If you have access to a local hackerspace you can easily find help to redesign and replace the chest/torso with another sheet metal based structure and add hip rotation.<br /><br />Here's an old video showing how grippers can be added to the khr-1. Recently google transferred the old videos on google.com/video to youtube and in the process it lost all its historical 100k views and some great comments <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><br /><br /><div class='bbmedia' data-url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8v__FbXXQg?version=3&amp;amp;hl=en_US' style='margin: 1px; display: inline-block; vertical-align: bottom;'><div style='width: 200px; height: 40px; border: 1px solid #999; display: table-cell; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; font: 10px/10px Verdana; color: #555; opacity: 0.5;'><a style='color: #105289; text-decoration: none;' href='http://phpbbex.com/' target='_blank'>phpBB</a> &#91;media&#93;</div><script>if (typeof bbmedia == 'undefined') { bbmedia = true; var e = document.createElement('script'); e.async = true; e.src = 'js/bbmedia.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(e, s); }</script></div><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=2">limor</a> — Sun Mar 17, 2013 7:56 pm</p><hr />

Hey limor...or any one... would the hip rotation kit for the 2hv work on the 1hv? I have realized that I will never get the 1hv to handle the motions I want because the cg is too high. Any way my question is dose the 2hv have the larger shoulder servos? I know the kit replaces the better part of the torso.<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=497">zaboomafuu</a> — Wed Mar 13, 2013 9:27 pm</p><hr />
