The MELISSA Robot Kit for Kondo Servos

Hello,

What size/type of pins did you use to connect the joints together and allow them an axis to pivot around? At first I thought it was some sort of screw but thought I would ask.

Hi Ray, good to hear from you, since Vstone set a lot of rules and limitation so at the end of the day I don’t use Vstone. However you’ll have to sand all sharp edges and band them yourself, banding sheet metal is not a fun thing to do, it took me ages to get it into right shape! Now I know why “God Hard” is so expensive…:wink:

Congratulations., does Vstone include the metal bending for you ? and
how much Vstone cost you for a pair of hand cutting ?

Where did you source the M2 screws?? I can't find many outlets at all...

Your hands look great by the way...

Yeah, they are not easy to get, I got them from Vstone.

I been sourcing parts to construct hands...
I got some thin gauge aluminum sheets but it seems it will be too thin...
I did also consider mouldable plastic so i will do some testing later on...

By the way what size of your robot hand? Must be very hard work. I am making a prototype from my drawing ..... very hard work..... I will post more photos later.

Hi Guys,

Here’s my improved design VS MELISSA God’s Hand, my new design mainly for small size robot e.g 30cm or taller.

Since it is using “Push rod” controlled by a micro servo rather than a thick Cable-Tie, so it allows me to design more compact it size.

Its size only 35mm X 55mm (included fingers protector) and it will be 100% machine cutting i.e. perfect shape and size on every hand produced from my CAD drawing.

Currently I am planning to produce a prototype shortly, once I got everything in place I’ll post more photos & videos.
