I've finished the first round of the How-to - you can see it here:
http://70.90.186.20/index.htm but be aware - the pics are huge files (> 1 mb ea) and I haven't made any attempt to trim 'em down yet - that work is coming. A broadband connection is a must!

It stops at the major assemblies, because the servos need calibration and I haven't gotten that part translated. It's much more difficult than originally anticipated. However, I've built the arms, legs, main body and all sub assemblies. Moderator - I can make these files avail if you want to post/host them here.

Let me know what you think!

Hey TempusMaster, I've got some files for you up there as well, gimme another e-mail and I'll send you a link, OK?
Statistics: Posted by Jerry — Sun Jul 02, 2006 6:17 pm

There are two manuals - one for the hardware, which you have obviously located, and one for the RCB-3J that includes the heart to heart application. It's a PDF file and about 4.4 megs in size and has about 40+ pages.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Mon Jun 26, 2006 11:11 pm

Well i've finally got my KHR-2HV in it's shinny new bow. it's sat here on the corner of my desk and i can't wait to get to work building it, but i'm still only half way through translating the manual. The dilema i have is whether to stop the translation and just get building or carry on and try and produce a document for everyone.

has anyone else started translaing their manuals yet? If anyone wants to start, how about you start from the back. I have translated upto page 30 but it's quite slow going in places as the text is sometimes embededed with an image and i have to use an OCR tool to put them through a translator.

Has anyone mange to find a manual for the heart to heart software yet? I haven't even looked to see what's one my CD-ROM yet as once i open the package there's no going back and i'll feel compelled to build it.

By the way, does anyone else have problems sending PM's ? Every time i send one, it disappears and won't show up in the sent box.
Statistics: Posted by TinMan — Mon Jun 26, 2006 11:02 pm

Has anyone found an english manuals yet for this model. I've seen a number of websites (noDNA) that advertise instructions in both Japanese and english. So they are out there somewhere, it's just a matter of getting hold of one.

I know a number of people are working on this ( Jerry/Limor) and if needs be i'll take a copy down to the local languages school and ask them to translate it for me, but i thought i'd see if anyone had made any progress before heading down this track.

Regards TinMan
Statistics: Posted by TinMan — Mon Jun 19, 2006 12:50 am
