I found that the best way to keep my wife quiet when my Robonova arrived and she started to say 'What the %$%# is that' was to deliver a quick, sharp blow with the side of my hand to her windpipe.

But seriously, though, she was actually amazed at first by the side-cartwheels, etc. and then I engaged her, as a former enthusiastic gymnast in her youth, by talking about doing some moves for a gymnastics display from the Robonova. That allowed me to play with it but her to feel a bit engaged in the project and that we 'were doing it together'. However, as I haven't produced on that yet, and instead focused on a cool front handspring and doing eye and head mods, etc. that might wear thin soon

Oh, and I also refused to tell her much it cost exactly. That might have helped. The beauty of having a credit card in my name only

I'm telling mine that this latest gadget will ACTUALLY do the ironing and the washing up this time round

It's always been a prerequisite to other purchases that promise this but some how don't deliver.

Well, the one I used was "it's a business expense. I need to keep myself trained on computer technologies, Honey...". She bought it, but it took a while.

Maybe it was that new ring I got for her.......

i need help...
i will have a KHR-2HV with extras arriving in the mail...soonish
i managed some pretty fancy accounting and explainations to convince the missus the large withdrawal from the bank account was in her imagination.
so now i wait with excitment and dread...excitement for the bots arrival, dreading coming home from work explaining to the good woman what the hell has arrived in the mail,where it came from and how much it cost.
So as i am sure some of you out there have been in a similar situation, please post all and any excuses (life threatening would be good) you can come up with as to why i have to have a robot.
At the moment i am not sure if..."Well babe, no dolphins were killed in its manufacture" is good enough on its own...so please help me...
