i think it may have been because i left my robot balanced on one leg for too long with mains power.....
i left the beast on while i had a small matter to deal to, and unfortunately when i returned it had colapsed and was in the middle of an epileptic sezure - would have been ok if it wasnt powered from mains as battery would have gone flat (i think)-
it kept having seizures when i turned it on.....and after a little check i found the knee servo to be very very stiff
so after removal and inspection, replaced it with the head servo
now the fried servo, aside from being very very stiff smelt as though there had been a melt down
i assume that as it was under load and drawing probably close to max amps, and with the addition of time, eventually it over heated causing the meltdown - which in turn upset the the rest of the robots electronics.
my question...can i repair it? or do i keep it for spares?
