Need help setting up Gyro for KHR-3HV

I have been having problems with setting up the gyros in my KHR-3HV. When I try to setup the gyro inputs in the project settings or in a motion using the remix command the positions of the servos I set to move in response to the gyro input become shifted. Do I have to set up the gyro inputs in project settings than set a new home position to account for the position shift?
