Yes there is some current flowing to the servos and in the control board even when all switches are off. Actually your battery is leaking all the time no matter your switches are on or off. If you keep your battery plugged for 48 hours you will likely waste it completely even with switches off.

The only way to avoid this battery leaking is by means of unplugging the battery.

To be honest I cannot see the point in having the switches off and current flowing, but it happens. Design flaw ?
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sun Jul 17, 2005 1:09 pm

I just finished putting my robot together a couple days ago. I have been posing him a lot, bending the joints, noticing how easily the servos move. Well, when I plug my battery into the RCB-1 boards, with the switches all OFF, the joints become quite stiff. I can still move them, but they feel very different. Is this normal? Power seems to be leaking through the boardds? I hooked the robot to the PC and tested everything with heart-to0heart and all worked well. Still, this stiff joint symptom persists. Help?
Statistics: Posted by se7en — Fri Jul 15, 2005 1:59 am
