We are having mechanical and electrical issues with the UP! printer. Looks like the UP! printer does have some flaws! It will be interesting to compare it to the Thing-O-Matic when it comes out. The company has sent replacement parts so it should be working again in a few days? I have a new bracket that I am going to try out in the leg next. It will be interesting to see if it can standup to the stress? Will post pictures and a video when I can find some free time to do it.

http://mike-ibioloid.blogspot.com/
Statistics: Posted by Gort — Mon Nov 15, 2010 8:36 pm

I will start making posts on 3-D printers. I have access to a Makerbot Cupcake and a UP! printer. When the Thing-O-Matic ships I will then have access to that printer.

I have printer most of my brackets in the UP! printer which is very similar to the print quality of the Thing-O-Matic.

I will print out some brackets using a MakerBot Cupcake to show everyone the difference.

i can tell you that the UP! printer is not a pro 3D printer it looks like it is a Chinese version of the Thing-O-Matic. I will not know this for sure until my friend gets the Thing-O-Matic but it looks like this is the case. The Thing-O-Matic is also 1,000 USD cheaper
Statistics: Posted by Gort — Fri Nov 12, 2010 10:30 pm

I'm confused !

We see an pro 3D printer making good Bioloid brackets from Gort.

Makerbot is a 3D printer.

Where can we see Bioloid brackets printed on a Makerbot ? What is the quality ? Are they ABS material ?

Maybe show us a Makerbot printed part for the Bioloid Premium chest ?
Statistics: Posted by i-Bot — Fri Nov 12, 2010 7:54 pm
