Each MakerBot Replicator™ now ships standard with an LCD panel and video-game-style control pad. The LCD screen provides build statistics and monitoring information, and full control of the machine without the use of a computer. Using the SD Card slot, you can load models and begin builds directly from the control pad. Pack up the Bot, and grab your SD Card and you’re ready to go to your friends birthday and make all the party favors. Print anywhere! <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif" alt="" title="Embarassed" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=3207">herispitson</a> — Fri Feb 24, 2012 7:58 am</p><hr />

Hi all<br /><br />We're happy to announce we'll soon be stocking plastic (ie 1.75mm Fillament) from the US vendor Village Plastics in addition to the plastic from Makerbot.<br /><br />The new plastic adds newer types of colour and is slightly less expensive.<br />We've been testing this new plastic over the past weeks and printed a complete V8 engine with multiple colours:<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robosavvy/6283358662/" class="postlink"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6216/6283358662_2de983b128.jpg" alt="Image" /></a><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robosavvy/6283358662/" class="postlink">3D Pritned V8 Engine Up</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/robosavvy/" class="postlink">RoboSavvy</a>, on Flickr<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robosavvy/6282842195/" class="postlink"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6235/6282842195_d80365b512.jpg" alt="Image" /></a><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robosavvy/6282842195/" class="postlink">3D Pritned V8 Engine Up</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/robosavvy/" class="postlink">RoboSavvy</a>, on Flickr<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robosavvy/6283361038/" class="postlink"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6040/6283361038_2b1c0b2419.jpg" alt="Image" /></a><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robosavvy/6283361038/" class="postlink">3D Pritned V8 Engine Bottom</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/robosavvy/" class="postlink">RoboSavvy</a>, on Flickr<br /><br />This was done in our Thing o Matic with Stepstruder MK6 Plus (no tricks with <a href="http://robosavvy.com/store/product_info.php/products_id/1918" class="postlink">Dualstrusion</a> yet).<br />The way we've done was to insert a small piece of plastic and when the piece is reaching the end, insert another colour right after it into the extruder so that both colours mix in a continuous flow of plastic inside the extruder.<br /><br />The results are very nice and the piece is fully functional: it has a handle on the side that you use to turn and see the pistons and everything moving. Very cool!<br /><br />Pedro<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=1061">PedroR</a> — Tue Nov 08, 2011 7:37 pm</p><hr />
