The motor is a 4W 12V core less motor

These can be purchased directly from Maxxon although they are some what expensive, still much less than a new servo.
The stock motor has a custom Robotis part number. This is because Robotis has Maxxon laser weld the pinion to the motor shaft.
The laser welded steel pinion gear is a 0.3 module, 13 teeth, 4.88 mm OD.
Gears can be removed from old motors by grinding off the shaft end and weld.
The gear can be re-installed onto a new motor with epoxy.
Gear stock can also be found else where.
