hi tinman, may be a while yet before i have the funds but as son as i do robosavvy willbe the first to see anything i do. i was thinking of doing a walkthrough build feature followed by some vids of my first moves. as i am a newbie to robotics i guess it will all take a bit of time - thats the fun of it..anyway heres matt fishers latest email (last night) re- control system and programming potential of the robovie: <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /> <br /><br />Hi Rob,<br />Having two GWS PG-03 gyros is optimal, as it allows control over both the x and y axes.<br />The only program that is supported by the manufacturer is RobovieMaker, as it provides all the interfaces with the servos, gyros, accelerometer and RF remote control. There are people who have purchased Robovie’s from us for use with their own controller boards. They are currently developing a new programming interface. Thats good stuff. thanks for sharing, when you get this guy let us know. D%26sa%3DG</a><!-- m --><br /><br />sorry they are late but ive been upto my ears with work. im going to go for the robovie m v3 soon as ive heard more detailed info on the software . very userfiendly and allows you to do catch and play style programming with the latest version of the software in english.i am waiting to hear if it can be programmed with a kind of robobasic say like the robonova for instance as this would give me something to grow into.<br />here is a copy of matt fisher from roboporiums latest email to me:<br /><br />"Hi Rob,<br />The software you downloaded is the older version of RobovieMaker in Japanese.<br />We have since upgraded the software and included it in English.<br />The new software also has Gyro feedback and control as well as a much easier remote control programming interface.<br />As for being able to create your motions outside of the included demo files; Absolutely!<br />The robot would be a rather expensive decoration otherwise.<br />Aside from uploading the basic motion files that come included with the software, you can create multiple motion files from your own poses.<br />The way I describe the difference between a pose and a motion file is that I compare it to a 35mm movie film.<br />Each pose is one frame in a reel. When you combine multiple frames and play them you get a motion picture, or in our case, a motion file.<br />Many of the videos you see on our website of the Robovie were created after the fact, and are not standard included motions.<br />I hope this helps. Hey Robbybot, <br />do you know if there is much available code for that robovie m3?<br />I saw that robot a few months ago and the price is a little much, but do'able. What scares me is the programming, would you have to create all motions from scratch? I agree it is pretty darn smooth and looks cool as hell.<br />I tried to contact that company before Christmas, by e-mail and phone but never got a single reply.
