Haha, Wow you nailed it on the dot, I agree with you on this. A lot of people make humanoids out to be an impossible technology of the present but yet, we see every day weired little robots unable to really function any other way than a little weired robot. While I give them their due on the tech imposed on Rogun, still very limited and unwitting to people true to robotics and humanoids. If you ask me to much money is getting shoved at some wasteful projects.
Statistics: Posted by NewBreedWarrior — Tue Jun 12, 2007 5:12 am

Yet another great sarcastic commentary by Engaget.

Who sponsors these Korean startups with $1m budgets and an agenda to develop a robotic nanny?? Current state of the art in terms of mobility for a 25kg humanoid is limited to walking and looking majestic in photo shoots. the biggest problem with these useless private equity fundings is that it kills the investment opportunity for the rest of us who would like to build a real money making business around humanoids. a robot humanoid nanny at this rate will take another 15 years to realize because these guys will set back the potential industry due to the disillusioned investors throwing their money down the drain.

Statistics: Posted by limor — Mon May 21, 2007 10:39 am
