[quote="tom_chang79
Seriously though, back to the subject, I thought the URIA was quite elegant, but it looks a little clumsy, might be more of a developer-type of robot like the Specys...
It is quite impressive. I've seen it doing demos where it is able to walk across very rough and uneven surfaces with no apparent problems, and even maintain its balance while people tilt the floor underneath it.

That being said, it is about 10x the cost of a Speecys. The quality/workmanship is superb. The primary (only?) customers so far are research facilities and colleges/universities in Korea.
Statistics: Posted by tempusmaster — Wed Mar 19, 2008 5:02 pm

We have missed out on a very interesting video found browsing through the above link.

Seems like Korea is closer than ever to being dominated by robot overlords. Human school kids have to obey their Robotis humanoid robot masters or else they are humiliated in front of hundreds of their fellow humans and judging by the first few seconds of the video they burn in robotic hellfires.

phpBB

Statistics: Posted by limor — Mon Jun 25, 2007 1:17 pm
