<title type="html"><![CDATA[Robo-One Competition - Tokyo - March 17-19th]]></title>

Some amazing robots showed up for the Robo-One competitions in Tokyo this weekend. Most of them follow the original KHR-1 platform design, with some Robonova-1 based entries, and quite a few unique designs of their own creation. We still have one more day left - the Finals - but the 32 top competitors already qualified on Saturday.<br /><br />In addition to the strange costume/character designs, there are also designs that incorporate visual tracking, sound, one that came out looking like a quadroped then transformed itself into a biped then transformed into a different biped, and a lot more.<br /><br />Several of the entries are able to make small jumps, and Dynamizer (Sugiura family) can actually jump (hop) balanced on one foot-  <br /><a href="http://www.robots-dreams.com/2006/03/this_robot_can_.html" class="postlink">http://www.robots-dreams.com/2006/03/this_robot_can_.html</a><br /><br />I'll have more videos and posts from the competition up soon.<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=56">tempusmaster</a> — Sat Mar 18, 2006 11:27 pm</p><hr />
