He always tries to create something unusual or striking. He's also quite the showman. His demonstration during the ROBO-ONE 9 competition was one of my favorites. <br /><br />They don't reveal how the judges score the entries on individual factors - they only disclose the total score for each robot, but I have to believe that Rayered-X made it into the top 32 based primarily on how different and unique it was.<br /><br />Unfortunately Rayered-X doesn't do extremely well in the head to head bouts.  Its COG is too high and all the weight (4 kg.) makes it too easy to tip over.
