I appologize if this is a bit off the topic but I noticed that another company - <a href="http://www.speecys.com/itr/itr02.html" class="postlink">Speecys</a> are using the same Futaba RS301CR servos for their line of humanoids.<br /><br />Their new design btw looks amazing<br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/Builders/limor/speecis.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br />certainly better than their previous concoction....<br /><br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/Builders/limor/speecys1a.JPG" alt="Image" /><br /><br />They make original use of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scream" class="postlink">Munch-influenced</a> art to depict typical "use case" scenario for the robot....<br /><br /><img src="http://robosavvy.com/Builders/limor/speecis1.jpg" alt="Image" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=2">limor</a> — Mon Oct 23, 2006 11:32 pm</p><hr />

Futaba's been talking about rolling out a robot for a long time, and their print ads for the servos featured a robot design that looked similar to the JR RB-1000.<br /><br />Earlier this month HPI (famous for RC car racing) announced their G-ROBOT series, which it turns out they are OEM'ing from Futaba. Last weekend Futaba demo'ed the new robot series both here in Japan and in the US at the iHobbyExpo show in Chicago. <br /><br /><img src="http://www.robots-dreams.com/Image00038.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br />According to a report on the ROBOT Magazine site the US street price is expected to be around $1,200.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.robots-dreams.com/2006/10/futaba_takes_th.html" class="postlink">http://www.robots-dreams.com/2006/10/futaba_takes_th.html</a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.botmag.com/articles/futaba_humanoid_robot.shtml" class="postlink">http://www.botmag.com/articles/futaba_humanoid_robot.shtml</a><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=56">tempusmaster</a> — Mon Oct 23, 2006 10:20 am</p><hr />
