Hi all

OpenCV has been accepted as a project in Google Summer of Code.

Since OpenCV has so much potential for Robotics applications we (RobOSavvy) would really like to somehow sponsor or be involved in this project.

Therefore if you're a member from our forum and wish to participate, please check out Google's call for applications (they last from March 28th to April 8th).
Details are here http://opencv.willowgarage.com/wiki/GSOC_OpenCV2011

Right off the start Google WILL be paying those who participate. We are not affiliated with Google in any way about these projects nor about these rewards.
Google's full regulation is available here http://socghop.appspot.com/gsoc/program ... e/gsoc2011

Our (RoboSavvy) interest is that, should you wish to take your project (that will be open source as per the regulation) and apply it to a Robotics application we would be happy to sponsor you (the coder) with material to make your idea come true.

This is our contribution to try and see more of OpenCV being done onboard Robots!

There is a lot of potential in OpenCV and we're doing some basic things ourselves here but there's room for so much more!

So to finalize, should be interested in participating in something related to OpenCV let us know to support@robosavvy.com and let's see where we can take your ideas and how we may be able to help you push Hobby Robotics forward!

Regards
Pedro
Statistics: Posted by PedroR — Mon Mar 21, 2011 6:53 pm
