Yes. It can only fire a few times. He loads the cartridge just before the bout begins.

Not really. The volume is quite small. He's taken a lot of care with the design to make sure that it isn't exposed to any potential damage or failure.

This particular match was one of the early afternoon bouts and was part of the regular competition. Unfortunately King Kizer lost. Later in the day he came back for a demonstration match against Haruo - Amino-san's flying robot sphere. I'll post that video in a day or so when I get some free time.
